I've heard it said that if we will listen closely
enough to what someone talks about, we can tell
what's on their mind.

I was a hopeless romantic as a young girl and I
will probably die an old, hopeless, romantic as
well.

Right from the beginning we find out what's on
God's heart...we are! Mankind.

He made us in His own image and likeness. I
believe in everything God did, He showed us
Himself. He obviously didn't want to be
alone....He created man. And when man was
alone God created a mate for him.

Bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh. Eve was part
of Adam. There were other creatures around
Adam but not like Eve...she was a part of him.

I imagine there were other creatures around God
too, in the beginning, maybe even human like
creatures, but not made in His image, with His
breath flowing into their lungs.....

We were different.

We are what makes God's heart beat faster. We
are what makes Him vulnerable. We are the ones
He leans over to listen to. He saves the words we
speak to Him. He knows us intimately and is
delighted with our love. He knows how many
hairs are in our head. He is hurt when we forget
about Him. But, He is never angry for long. Each
day He has forgotten our wrongs and is full of
mercy and forgiveness, even when we don't even
realize it.

We were made especially for Him.

The story of God and His wonderful creation gets
very complex, so complex, we lose sight of the
simplicity of it.

I believe in the parable of the treasure in hidden
in the field, we can see what is on God's mind.

God has a treasure, certain people mixed
throughout all of humanity who will accept His
invitation.

You know, the beautiful part about it is that
provision was made for all of humanity, not just
the one's who respond to His advances.

Here's how Jesus tells the story...

""The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure
hidden in a field. One day a man found the
treasure, and then he hid it in the field again. He
was so happy that he went and sold everything
he owned to buy that field. "

Jesus bought the whole field to get the treasure
that was hidden in it. Paul says God is the savior
of all men, especially, them that believe. John
said that Christ is the propitiation, not just for our
sins, but for the sins of the whole world.
